Changes to the Work Placement of 457 Visa Cancellations

From 14 February 2011, all 457 visa cancellations from Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania (non superannuation cancellations) and Western Australia will be processed at Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) Western Australian Visa Cancellations, located in Perth. New South Wales is not affected by these changes and will continue to process 457 visa cancellations.
Note: The sponsor's obligation to provide information to DIAC when certain events occur, particularly cessation of employment, remain unchanged.
457 visa holders who need to apply for a superannuation refund and tax return will continue to have their visas processed in Tasmania by the Superannuation Hobart team.

Good Day To you and to our good office,
Me and my family just turned 1year today in Australia.We're under 457 visa scheme(Im the principal visa holder) and we've planned to stay here permanently and having stated that, we should be applying for PR by next year through employee nomination scheme(ENS Sub class 856). Here are my questions for you:
1) Is my wife have an option not to take IELTS ? What process should undertake instead..?
2) Since IELTs expiration is 2 years, can I take IELTS anytime this year before we come close to a 2 year stay..?
